To comrades in Britain,

How about taking the initiative in organising a March on the City? The
aim would be to occupy the offices of major financial institutions in
the City of London so as to obstruct the finance capitalists going about
their extortionate activities. It would not bring down British
capitalism but it could mobilise and give expression to the righteous
anger of many thousands of people. To be successful it would have to be
organised by most of the leftist groups in Britain today.

Dear Comrades and Friends,

The supertyphoon Durian has brought great devastation to the people in the Bicol and other regions of the Philippines. More than a thousand people are feared dead or missing and hundreds of thousands more are affected and displaced from their homes. And the numbers are still rising. Most of those affected are the poor peasants who suffer the brunt of both natural and man-made disasters. News and images of the devastation have been reported by international media, including the CNN and BBC. (more…)

REPORTS FROM THE REVOLUTION IN NEPAL

For ten years the people of Nepal, led by the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), have been waging a revolutionary struggle to overthrow the reactionary, feudal monarchy. The Revolutionary United Front now control most of the country and have negotiated with the reconvened government to hold genuine, free elections to a constituent assembly which would draw up a constitution for a republican, new democratic state.
