May Day Message:

Beloved Brothers and Sisters,
Let us celebrate May Day 2008 with a fearless conquering spirit. We face many dangers and challenges. But we know that, in unity with the workers and oppressed people of the world, we can turn these dangers and challenges into historic opportunities to bring down the system and claim a new world of freedom. We see the system we live in collapse before our eyes. We experience the death throes of a dying, decaying system. A system that can only survive through war, violence, death and destruction. A system that survives only through lies and deception, through fraud and corruption, through mass slaughter, inhuman torture and white terror. A system that drives the vast majority of toilers to desperate poverty, misery and degradation, while a parasitic and blood-thirsty ruling class of bloated capitalists, archaic feudalists and their political/ ideological agents all thrive on the spoils of blood, profit and plunder.
The imperialist powers, led by the US, are waging a global war to expand and consolidate their empires of blood and profit. The US-led coalition has invaded and occupied Afghanistan and Iraq, and are planning to attack Iran. With the Zionist State of Israel as the battering rod, they wage a war of genocidal occupation against the Nation of Palestine extending now for over 60 years. The entire history of Capitalism has been a history of colonial occupation and domination, of endless wars of aggression, which includes two world wars of horrendous destruction and human suffering. The present global war for world domination by the imperialist powers may lead to yet another, third world war, with unthinkable horror and devastation, threatening the very future of planet earth and humankind. Yet, their time is up! The people of the world on every continent are rising up to defy and deny imperialism and neo-colonialism and lay claim to the fruits of universal human achievement and build a new world of freedom. Humankind has reached the stage to master the infinite possibilities of a liberating science, technology and culture. We stand on the threshold of a new world of freedom without any form of domination, exploitation and oppression. The possibility of realizing universal human freedom is shining on the horizon.
In our own country, we see how the puppet state and ruling class, rigged up by the colonial-imperialis t powers, have joined in the plunder of our land, in the ruthless exploitation of our people and in plunging our country into an endless, spiraling political crisis. We need no other indictment of the system than the pitiful conditions of slavery that our sisters and brothers are forced to labor in the plantations, garment factories and in foreign countries. We need no other indictment than that of the hundreds of thousand who languish in refugee camps without an end. We need no other indictment than that of our own brothers and sisters who are being bombed and killed in their tens of thousand, the rising rates of abductions, extra-legal killings and extortions, along with the ruthless repression of the media. This murdering ruling class, represented by the SLFP, UNP, LSSP, CP, JVP, JHU have taken turns in deceiving and dividing us, in selling out the country to foreign masters, in spilling the blood of the people and enforcing a regime of naked fascist terror. all other parliamentary cohorts such as the CWC, UPF, NUA, SLMC, EPDP, TMVP also share the blame for propping up and perpetuating the system. This ruling class has joined up to wage war to liquidate the identity of the Tamil nation in the North-East. They have all joined up to enslave the people. They have together deceived and subjugated the Sinhala nation, the Tamil nation, the Hill Country Tamil nationality, the Moslem nationality, and all other ethnic-religious communities, while they continue to share the spoils of imperialist profit and plunder.
We declare that we shall not be deceived and led to fight our own brothers and sisters just to keep your system alive. We dare to declare that your game is over! On this May Day 2008, we declare without fear that we intend to fight to end this game of deception and bury this rotting system and lay claim to our future and our world of freedom, in unity with the international proletariat and the oppressed people of the world. We declare our determination to grasp and apply the all-conquering science of revolution crystallized in the immortal and invincible teachings of Marxism-Leninism- Maoism. We declare our unshaken faith in the historic mission of the proletariat to build the organized revolutionary will, strength, unity and fighting capacity of the proletariat, in unity with the oppressed nations and people of the world, so together they may bury this imperialist system and build the new world of Communism. So let us celebrate May Day 2008 with the all-conquering spirit of world revolution.
We extend our revolutionary greetings and express our solidarity with all parties and organizations of the world who dare to bring down the system and usher in the new world.
