Patna,Dec 20th :Three reactionary police, including an Assistant Commandent of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed in an encounter in Kadma Village in east Champaran district late last night.
According to sources, over 100 heavily armed Maoists including some top ranked leaders of Communist Party Of India (Maoist) participated in the operation.
The Communist Party of India (Maoist) is conducting a `People’s War’and has effective control over some regions of Jharkhand, Andrah Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, West bengal and Orissa.
The CPI (Maoist) is aiming to consolidate its power toestablish a Compact Revolutionary Zone.
