Set up alongside a busy trekking route banked by terraced fields of grain, it consists of a stone wall used as a table and a red hammer-and-sickle flag drooping from an old shed. INTRODUCTION

We live in the era of imperialism and proletarian revolution. The majority of the world’s population, who carry the burden of exploitation and oppression, want real and thoroughgoing changes in their lives. This world is plagued by class divisions and inequalities, it is held on its head through the force of arms of the exploiting classes, and to turn it right side up is on the agenda of history. Twice in the twentieth century the proletariat has made revolution and taken significant steps towards building a completely new world. Our class fought, won, started the construction of socialist society and for decades marched on this unknown path full of twists and turns. The Islamic Republic continues its all out war against the Iranian people: political and economic war, along with security and military crack downs. This economic war has transformed itself into open war against the people. The military and security forces of the Islamic regime have been mobilized to wage this brutal war against striking workers, against the people’s rebellion in opposition to gasoline rationing, and against the uprising of deprived and poverty stricken people in small towns throughout the country. Legislature shows the way

The Interim legislature has instructed the interim government to proclaim Nepal a Federal Democratic Republic and adopt the fully proportional electoral system for the Constituent Assembly (CA). A special session of the legislature that concluded on Sunday ended the current political stalemate and showed the way forward. This historic achievement is the outcome of continued effort of the CPN-Maoist.

In spite of the opposition of the Nepali Congress (NC) Party, the progressive transition is settled due to efforts of the leftist parties, including the second and third largest parties in legislature; the CPN-Maoist and CPN-UML. Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala now leads a minority in the legislature, and is facing a moral crisis. (more…)
