According to Kuensel- the Bhutanese Official daily news site, thirty people including three students, have been arrested by the Bhutanese reactionaries recently on charges of being engaged in creating awareness of the communist Maoist ideology and provide training in the use of arms and explosives to begin an armed rebellion/People’ s war against the repressive Bhutanese government.
Those arrested reportedly were the members of the Communist Party of Bhutan (Marxist-Leninist- Maoist) and had been arrested in Samtse, Bhutan recently.
The place Samtse originally called as Samchi was later renamed by the Bhutanese regime after forcefully evacuating ethnic Nepalese- the Lothsampas inhabiting the southern Bhutan.
Among those arrested according to the online newspaper were some Bhutanese students organized by the Communist Party of Bhutan (Marxist-Leninist- Maoist) early February this year.
Quoting Bhutanese police source the Kuensel also says that the Bhutan Tiger Force, the militant wing of the Communist Party of Bhutan (Marxist-Leninist- Maoist), was involved in recent militant actions in Phuentsholing, Bhutan.
A spokesperson for the ministry of home and cultural affairs said that the ministry was deeply concerned by the developments in Samchi and that all subversive elements who had been apprehended would be dealt with in accordance with the laws of the land, Kuensel-the mouth piece of Druk Regime concludes.
The entry of the Maoists in the politics of Bhutan is a sort of warning to the Bhutan regime and the Indian establishment as well and to the American imperialists. Analysts say that any disturbance in the bordering areas will have its profound impact on both: Bhutan primarily and then obviously India-the real guardian of the repressive regime in Bhutan.
