I would like to express my revolutionary greetings to my heroic brothers and sisters of Nepal who displayed unprecedented courage and valor, and unity in the mass uprising against the autocratic monarchy, which gave rise to a new political and positive situation in Nepal. The joint mass movement called and organized by the ‘|Seven Party Alliance’ and our party, the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), turned into a mass uprising in the course of time, which is an exemplary political upsurge, not only for Nepal but for the world as well. I express my heartfelt condolences to the respectable martyrs and deep sympathy to those who are wounded.
As for the agreement between our party and the ‘Seven Party Alliance’, the restored parliament has unanimously declared the election for a constituent assembly, which is a welcome step. Now the constituent assembly is sure to become the primal focal point of Nepalese politics.
Unable to resist the extent of the people’s power the autocracy has temporally yielded but not has admitted defeat. They definitely will not change their minds and behavior and the autocracy is lurking for an opportune moment for its come back. Thus the safeguards of the fruit of revolution are very significant and set a crucial task before us.
This is the appropriate time to get rid of the two and a half century old monarchy, an obstacle of all forward developments of the nation: hanging over the head of the Nepalese people like the sword of Damocles. The clear and obvious message of the revolutionary mass movement is for a Democratic Republic. Therefore, anything less than a Democratic Republic is deception and false. I hope and believe that the heroic Nepalese people who have stood the test of time will not make a mistake and will take a wise decision, so that it becomes certain that the anachronistic monarchy will soon get its proper place in the museum.
The movement has brought the question of the release of political prisoners to the forefront. Thus there is every reason to believe that I may be released sooner rather than later. I am very eagerly waiting inside the prison cell for the moment when I will find myself amongst you physically.
Once again I would like to salute you all
