ब्रि्रोही माओवादीहरुले थप गरेको एक महिनाको युद्धविराम सकिन मात्र एक हप्ता बा“की थियो । माओवादीहरु आफ्नो प्रतिबद्धतामा दृढ थिए । युद्धविरामको चार महिनामा उनीहरुको तर्फाट देशभरि कहीं कतै पनि फौजी गतिविधि भएनन् । बरु करीब दर्ुइ दर्जनभन्दा बढी आफ्ना नेता कार्यकर्ताको शाही सेनाबाट भएको हत्यालाई सहे, सयौं कार्यकर्ताको गिरफ्तारी पचाएरै बसे । धर्ैयता गुमाएनन् । (more…)

It was nice to read the quotable lines. It sound quite interesting at
first different. Indeed, we are different but I have to add something.
We are different in one other way too.

Our country’s king earnes 3,000 times more than a citizen.

People are not allowed to come to street and imposes curfew, because
the king (who else?) is afraid of demonstrations.

People want peace and ask the king to reciprocate, while king compel
people to face more bloodshed.

Heads of other states visit US, Norway, Sweden and UK, where Human
Development indications are high but our visits African countries and
seek support from Pakistan, Myanmar, Russia and other African
countries.

Intellectuals back people’s power and democracy in other countires,
but here, they back dictatorship; they condemn the political parties
so that it helps the lion to come out of den and enjoy cannibalism.

Please keep it up till you, I and we all are behind the bars while the
king enjoys all what you cannot.

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Today our country Nepal is going through a most complicated, turbulent and painful episodes one after the other. A decade long armed conflict by the Maoists plaguing the country with violence and terror was calmed due to immense pressure from the people, international community and due the efforts of the agitating seven political parties when they announced their unilateral ceasefire on September 03, 2005 followed by an extension further for a period of 1 month on December 02, 2005. They agreed upon with agitating seven political parties on a 12-point understanding, which could bring about a peaceful solution to the ongoing political turmoil. But instead of reciprocating the ceasefire, the autocratic royal regime showed indifferent attitude and due to their hidden royal agenda, the ceasefire has collapsed. The royal government has brought in anarchy and army has become more aggressive & is targeting civilians with venom. The nearly dead monarchy, which had ruled the people by placing their boot on peoples chest for nearly 237 years, had again woken up in a bloody manner after the royal massacre of 19, Jesth 2058. Hungry for power, the present king Gyanendra has taken away all the democratic and human rights of the people, which were bestowed on them due to a tripartite agreement after a successful peoples movement in 2046 B.S. The multiparty system and the constitution of the people of Nepal was pushed into the dustbin of regression, social and economic condition of the country is becoming worse day by day, administration and the law is busy feeding only the autocratic monarchy, educational institutions and the text books have become a reciting team of king and autocracy, innocent civilians are troubled in the name of Maoists, king is busy visiting various countries with a begging bowl propoganding about fight against terrorism and his team is busy shooting army bullets not only on the agitating people but also on religious people who were participating in the religious programmes. The people who have lost lives have lost, but the people who are alive are being badged as terrorists and targeted. The atrocities on the common man have reached a state of intolerance. In order to strengthen his plans & to give continuity to his tactics, the king is trying to hold so called municipality elections and give legality to his autocratic royal proclamation of Feb 01, 2005. By conducting the election drama, the king wants to propagate to the world that the people have supported his step. The king is not only unconstitutional, but also a completely feudal, autocratic tyrant wanting to stay tall in the 21st century though being naked in front of all. The country has got into a bigger political conflict after king Gyanendra booted out multiparty democracy and the constitution and formed an unconstitutional ministry under his own chairmanship. Currently, the king is interfering in all the fields of national importance and demolishing all the democratic pillars that were set up by the democratic system, thereby pushing the country towards Musharaff like system, thereby totally militarizing the country. If we do not oppose against this act, the people of Nepal will again get down to the level of slaves under an autocrat and finally the existence and integrity of the country will itself be at stake.

The king has become alone not only in the kingdom but also across the globe and has become naked in front of all by his own deeds. This has paved way for the people to fight towards the end of all the legacies of autocracy and set up a pro democratic set up permanently through active participation of Nepalese and the international community. The agitating 7 main political parties of Nepal and the Maoists have agreed upon autocracy as their main opponent. Both the parties are moving forward in their own directions to restore peace and total democracy in the country. This agitation will give way for re structuring of the state and total democracy through elections to the constituent assembly. The pro autocracy elements are trying to disturb the understanding among the parties and also the movement by fistful propaganda and interference. The international community is also strongly expressing solidarity in the pro democratic movement of the people of Nepal. The pro democratic movement is gaining momentum by the huge participation of youth, students, women, farmers, minorities, terai based people, tribals, media personnel, law professionals, human right activists, intellectuals, businessmen, Migrant Nepalese, international communities etc., not only in Nepal but also across the globe. The tsunami of such a movement supported by everyone will in due course shake up the king and bring him down on his kneels in front of the people and consequently he will be wrapped under the history books alongside people like Hitler of Germany, Mussolini of Italy, Marcos of Philippines and Suharto of Indonesia, who had to bear the wrath of an ignited agitation of the people during their times

Peace and democracy loving people,

It is evident that the role of Migrant Nepalese in the democratic and the social movement of Nepal is commendable from ages. The entire country is marching towards the end of autocracy and their legacies who have till now been propagating that they are the custodians of democracy and national unity and thereby looting Nepalese. Lets express our solidarity in the pro democratic movement of Nepal and contribute towards the end of feudal autocracy permanently. Based on this, Migrant Nepalese Association (India), Karnataka – Kerala Joint State Committee requests all the Migrant Nepalese, Indian citizens and pro democratic organizations to express solidarity in the movement through whatever means possible.

Co-inciding with Republic Day of India and also the memorial day of our founder Late. Sri. Ek Dev Aley, we have organized a peaceful march on January 26, 2006 expressing our solidarity for the republic day of India and demanding a democratic republic in Nepal. We request all the Migrant Nepalese, Indian citizens, pro democratic organizations, political parties in India, Human right activists of Karnataka and all the media personnel to express their solidarity in our movement and help us in our endeavor by their active participation.

दश वर्षम्मको सशस्त्र युद्धपश्चात् शान्तिपर्ूण्ा जनआन्दोलनको बाटोमा आएको कुरा लोकतान्त्रिक जनपर््रदर्शन अभियानले देखाउन खोजेको लाग्यो । अब संर्घष्ाको रुप फेरिएकै हो कि -

काठमाडौं/ माओवादी र बृहत् राष्ट्रिय राजनीतिक सम्मेलन आयोजक समितिका तर्फाट सात दिने नेपाल बन्दसहित दर्ुइ महिने संर्घष्ाको कार्यक्रमकोे घोषणा भएको छ । शाही सरकारका ज्ञानेन्द्रपछिका दोश्रो नेता तुलसी गिरीले माओवादी-संसदवादीलाई पेलेर जाने भनेर घोषणा गरेको ठीक दर्ुइ दिनपछि संर्घष्ाको कार्यक्रम आएको छ ।
